How's this for the best song in the world?

I've lost interest in blogging! Nothing significant enough to be revealed here (some things should be kept hushed), but coming highlight is going to Dom Tan's concert (piano debut!) with the gymmies, and watching The Dark Knight after that, although B cannot join us! But we'll still have fun on Sunday! :)

Death is the Road to Awe

Clint Mansell's affecting pieces,
Rainer Maria Rilke's poetry..
That's the life.

Separate but when entertwined, complement
Like melting cheese on bread (my staple now).

I want to buy "Death at Intervals". I haven't been reading much (or writing, goodness gracious), such is the inexplicable, inexTRICABLE poor plight I'm in. We had to write essays for English class today, and I chose an exposition-esque topic: How has techonology affected your life? I addressed it in my signature tone: a lot of faux-philosophy and veered cleanly off-topic, I should think. Not to mention the many "WW" (wrong word) remarks Miss Ow will leave every few lines. I wrote absolute rubbish, such that I didn't even comprehend my high exclusive expressions. They didn't make sense, so I think this indexes a stop to my forced fusion of narrative (whimsical) and expository-ish styles. Expositions require composed, detached organisation, whilst my natural prose is anything but.

Haven't heard anything from Foyle, but at least I tried.

3:33

It's the second time this week that I've glanced at the clock only to see it's 3:33PM.

:D

Breaking and entering, Anchor for three

Happy Birthday Yingru! (10th of July)

Yingru: I'll send you the video when I see you online!

*

P, D, B and I held a mini birthday celebration V, very much lacking in lustre and glamour but we've plans to go all out and re-celebrate our birthdays with a bang (pun unintended, it's so off-colour) but hopefully it won't be pulverise my finances. Photos will be up once I get them from D..

Yesterday's Make-Charmaine-Exercise Operation #1 was quite a success. From 7.25 to about 8.40PM, we managed to run 8 rounds in the Stadium (excruciatingly slow jog, hence the stretched duration). I hope Char has emerged strong from our less-than-intensive boot camp session #1, after battling some inner demons. The battles are not yet won, not until Charmaine makes not a single whimper during an entire exercise session. D is a tough trainer.

Ill Be Waiting - Lenny Kravitz

Good song.

Linguistics = Linguine?

I discovered today that someone's been having fantasies about me! Yun Sheng is really smart, and Dom Tan was skeptical.
Miss O has sneakily snuck away to China, hence we're left in the Canadian hands of this bimbotic relief teacher for English lessons and it's just so hilarious how everyone liked to regard her American accent with mock derision (all in the name of good fun). The boys made fun of her name: "Miss Pat" became "Miss Pad" owing to deliberately inaccurate pronounciation. And there was a lot of exaggerated mimicry of her American accent. And we went over a comprehension passage today, wherein one of the questions was:

Quote a phrase from the passage that holds the same meaning as "gymnastics".
Answer (as supplemented by Ms. P.): "float and fly around"

So I said, "Shouldn't it be just "fly around"? Gymnasts don't float."
And she said, "Well in gymnastics they sort of "float" in the air for a while, as they're doing their flips and stuff. Gymnasts do that." [I paraphrase]
So I said, "I am one."
It sounded contemptuous, didn't it?! I didn't mean to, but our little exchange elicited laughter (from her, even) so no damage was done, I surmise. But that wasn't the best, of course.

Me: So what did you study?
Ms P: English.
Me: Language or Literature?
Ms P: Linguistics.
Samuel: I like to eat linguine.

AWESOME.

Nothing spells "murder"

.. like the last 106 days before the O levels.

I hate how little time there is left in the day after the last bell rings, and after the (very near) daily SSP.
I hate that my life is so fucked up, I'm starting to get really hormonal. Tears well at the slightest provocation.
I hate how endless tasks are shoved into my face.
I hate how I don't get enough sleep when I try to sacrifice some hours for more revision and
I hate the knock-on effect: When I don't get enough sleep, I cannot concentrate 100% in class.
I hate how fucked up my schedule is.
I hate how I don't have the time to properly exercise, especially after encountering reports about how exercise can make one more alert and energised.
I hate how I'm griping about my extremely fucked up life.
I hate that I'm so fucking hormonal nowadays, I flare up so easily, at family and at friends, and being tenacious in the wrong way, I don't like to apologise "at whim". But here's a general apology.
And I hate that this post, replete with vulgarity, tells you how churlish I am.

Only consolation that presents itself meekly to me enshrouded in fucked-upness, its each day that passes, salvation is a day closer.

I finally opened my Hotmail mail, after eons. I'm more of a Gmail user. Anyway, two emails from a surprising person X from the past, well, took me by surprise.

Avid reader much? Tagging? Really? A need even arises for us to correspond? Or in a free world, there's a need to comment on lives? A tad like bumming a smoke off your friend's murderer, no? After cross-referring (Herriot joke), I may detect some genuine concern, since X is quite a guileless (so we would like to believe as we perceive), innocuous, pilulous shadow (most apt) in my life. Since my blog is no longer a platform for innermost thoughts to meet the open air, I shan't divulge what I really feel about this. If you're a chum of mine and curious to know, DO ASK.
Since X and I see each other fairly enough in school, may it be a chance meeting by the staircase by the Men's staff loo (which I frequent in times of emergency) or whatever else have you, it would be unwise to let the friendship between us turn acrimonious.
I know I'm a total prick (not an anatomical one) for posting this, knowing full well X reads my blog. But I love being a prick! It explains my aberrant behaviour of late.

More studying to come today, but we've stocked up on enough snacks to keep me going:)
