Fucking eyeballs

When the going gets fervid and my hours become inundated with stack after stack of homework and academics start to pervade even my private (completely restricted zone) dream-time during slumber (much of which is lost to the aforementioned academics, my favourite phrase to describe this chaos is "I've been up to my fucking (no pun, no double entendre, just a matter of expression) eyeballs with work."

Whatever spare time I have now is devoted to Lolita, and I've even taken to annotating my book (highlighted quotes, scribbled notes) because I know The Annotated Lolita by Alfred Appel would be highly elusive due to the unpopularity of such highbrow reading matter in non-town outlets like Popular/second-hand bookshops where the prices are low and the quality satisfactory. I could always make a trip down to town and definitely find it in Kinokuniya (Borders' admittedly ample floor area is ostensible, having a rather suffocating range of literature) but it is unwise. Anyway, I would learn better delving deeper and re-reading Lolita to annotate it myself, assisted, of course, with Lit notes-satured sites. There is no doubt what help it may render to my becoming more proficient in Literature (more specifically in the aspect of "more development").

Lolita is a brain sucker. I wish we could be studying it instead of To Kill A Mockingbird but it would probably take 2 years to finish it.

More work to do now.
This post was intended to remind everyone I'm still quite alive, albeit rather hammered.

Expedition: Red-Green Line (South Singapore)

With fellow gymmies B, D, and V. My homies <33
Starting point: Serangoon Central@8AM
Headed for Bugis

V: (on the ERP gantry) Maybe it'll scan our EZ link cards!
-She was obviously joking-

The mechanics who worked at the shop were leering at us.

1. Bugis
Starbucks, where D had a cheesecake (he'd brought neither food nor water) which tantalised V no end
Whilst B, V and I ate the granola snacks we'd brought (rich kid vs. poor kid predicament).
Headed for: Esplanade

2. Esplanade

D's Clint-Eastwood squint.
V trying to fit into the outline of the missing guy; a weird ass picture I cannot comprehend

What is this, art?

3. Raffles City
V and D picked up Subway, B and I had granola bars again...
Headed for: The Fullerton Hotel

The revolving doors outside look grand already

To the (rather disappointing) roof garden
This is the roof garden. Minimalistic, maybe..

The roof garden is a strategic location to spy on diners.

4. Clarke Quay
Headed for: Nearest MRT station (but ended up getting a little lost)

End point: Parliament House@3PM

I'm still awaiting more photos from V.
So goes the English essay cliche: I had a very tiring but enjoyable day.
